I love John Mayer. Not personally, but his music is awesome. His lyrics, however, are much less inspiring. It’s amazing how much the music can really make or break a song, as I love Waiting on the World to Change from John Mayer’s latest CD: Continuum, until I listen to the lyrics. Now, here’s the first verse:
“Me and all my friends/ We're all misunderstood/ They say we stand for nothing / There's no way we ever could/ Now we see everything is going wrong / With the world and those who lead it/ We just feel like we don't have the means/ To rise above and beat it.”
Then comes the chorus: “so we keep waiting/ waiting on the world to change” etc. etc. etc. Yick! What a terrible philosophy! To me what this is saying is: if we don’t like the way the world is, we should just sit on our butts until it decides to change itself. I don’t know about anyone else, but I hate the fact that people die of AIDS. Does this mean I should just wait until AIDS cures itself as obviously, I as one human being don’t have the power to cure every case of AIDS out in the world? God wants us to be alive for him! We can’t expect people to juts walk into our arms so we can help them to accept Christ, we need to go out there to minister to them! Christ calls us to action, to go and make disciples of the world, not expect the world to make disciples of itself! So I don’t know about all of you, but I’m going to change the world as soon as I can… I’m not waiting around.

hahha, no one loves you enough to comment to your blogs, maybe it is because you are a troll.o well, we can't all be beautifully amazing now can we. i should leave a nice comment about how good your blog was, but im not going to , hahahha. not bc i don't want to, but bc i didn't read it. PEACE
